DIVISIONS & STANDARDS

ELITE

This is the pointy end of the spear. You are in your prime and are murdering WODs on the regular with zero feelings of remorse. New members at your gym want to be you; old members want to be with you. Big weights, metcons, and high skill gymnastic movements are your wheelhouse…
Bring. It. On!

Rx

Just shy of the Elite division Rx athletes can still move heavy weights and complete most gymnastics movements. Heavy deadlifts for reps makes you smile. You can handle yourself around ropes, rings, and bars like a champ. You aren’t getting called up to be on the Mayhem farm team anytime soon but you’d accept the offer if they extended it.

Masters 35-39

You don’t have time to spend 3+ hours in the gym; between the kids, the job and the spouse you had to dial down the CrossFit® a bit. Plus stuff hurts more than it used to and it hurts for longer. You are strong and capable and snatch like a boss and can string some muscle ups together. The loads are a touch lighter but things are still going to get spicy.

Masters 40-44

You can still get after it just not as often and maybe not as hard, but you can do almost all workouts Rx. If you are trying to win this division then you better be ready to move some weight and crush some handstand push ups. That being said there is something for showing up and doing your best and you don’t have to be intimidated by a time cap.

Masters 45-49

You are still a savage by any metric and compared to most of your peers you are nearly superhuman. You are committed to the cause and you like to test yourself. Pull ups and rope climbs are still on the table. Double-unders too. We also still expect you to knock out a few handstand push ups. The loads won’t be as heavy but it will not be a cake walk.

Masters 50+

You hit the halfway point and in every other area of life that means you get to slow down. Well not here. The loads might not be as heavy but the expectation for you to move those loads is high. Come out swinging; Pull ups, double-unders, rope climbs, sandbags, it’s all fair game and lighter does not mean easier if you are trying to win.

Scaled

No pull ups, double-unders, rope climbs, or handstand push ups. You don’t have to be good at everything. You just have to be willing to try. This is the most accessible division. If you can tell a clean from a snatch and you are willing to give full effort then you can make it in this division.

TEENS

Too young to compete with Rx athletes but you can still move heavy weights and complete most gymnastics movements. Heavy deadlifts for reps makes you smile. You can handle yourself pretty well around ropes, rings, and bars and you are willing to give it your all. Who knows, you might be the next big star…

Submit scores for that week’s workouts before 5:00pm PST on Monday.

When signing up for a team event, you should already know your team name, PLUS who's on your team (each participant’s Full Name, Email, and Apparel Size.)*

*There will be accomodations in the event an substitute is needed. The general rule of thumb is you get one free substitution. One athlete can be subbed once without it being a whole big deal. Beyond that we will handle it on a case by case basis depending on individual circumstances.
